readwritethink.org is a great place to go to search for all sorts of graphic organizers, lesson plans and guides for making reading and writing instruction more relevant and accessible to all students.
Think Literacy: Cross-Curricular Approaches Grades 7 – 12 provides a guided instructions to implement pre-reading, during reading and after reading strategies along with sections specifically focused on informational, graphic, and literary texts. Finally, there is a great set of posters you may find useful in your classroom.
Inquiry and Evidence is a great wikispace created by university students (you may recognize one of them) with great resources. Simple to navigate around, and clearly labelled, you can start here to find a graphic organizer or rubric to support what you are doing in your classroom.
