Sometimes I want to be able to say that I’ve read a whole book; I choose the skinniest titles with a cool front cover. This is one of those books.
First, I was thrilled to learn it was “the perfect antidote for Gossip Girl”, a series will admit to reading and watching (gasp) until the show became unbearable.
Set in the Upper East Side, the story centres around Connelly who, like Ari in Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets to the Universe, is trying to figure herself out. She develops an interesting, if not confusing, relationship with a guy. But that is not the key storyline and that’s where it becomes more realistic and less like the drama of Gossip Girl. And, that is why you will probably like it. It might make you really think about the value of the relationships you have.
Sheinmel leaves the reader full of questions when she wraps it all up, making me think that this would be a great fan fiction series.
